It may have been a frustrating night at Anfield but Pepe Reina had
good reason to celebrate after Liverpool's goalless draw with
Portsmouth on Wednesday.
The clean-sheet Reina kept against Pompey was his 26th in 48 League games for the Reds, meaning he has set a new club goalkeeping record.
No previous Liverpool keeper has registered more shut-outs in their first 50 full matches. Last season the Spanish stopper kept a club record 11 successive clean sheets between October 29 and December 15.
