Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Argentinian youngster Emiliano Insua from Boca Juniors in January.
The 17 year old left back will sign an eighteen month loan deal when the transfer window reopens, with Liverpool having the option to make the deal permanent at the end of next season. Insua is part of the Argentine Under-20 side who are currently world champions at their level and manager Rafael Benitez is looking forward to welcoming him to Melwood. "He is a good, young player with a lot of potential," said Benitez today. "He will come to us in January and we'll start to assess him at Melwood."
