Jimmy Rice 07 March 2007 Xabi Alonso insists he and his teammates will approach Friday's quarter-finals draw with no fear after knocking out the Champions League holders. | |
The Reds made the last eight after an away goals victory over favourites Barcelona. "We have to take it step by step and be realistic," said Alonso. "In the quarter-finals we are going to meet a tough team and we don't want to look too far. "We have respect for all the teams, but we are not scared of anyone." The Spaniard also praised Liverpool fans for their part in another glorious European night at Anfield. "We knew that it was going to be a great atmosphere. The support has been massive and for me is why they are the best supporters in the world." |
