REVEALED: LIVERPOOL'S GREATEST EURO AWAY PERFORMANCE

Paul Rogers 23 February 2007
Liverpool's amazing 2-1 victory in the Nou Camp on Wednesday night has been voted the Reds' greatest ever non-final European performance on foreign soil.
Few people gave Rafael Benitez's side any chance when they travelled to the home of the reigning European Champions in midweek but thanks to a brilliant team effort and another tactical masterclass from the manager, Liverpool once again stunned the Nou Camp.

With the whole of Europe talking about the win, liverpoolfc.tv took the opportunity to ask supporters if this was our best ever performance on foreign soil outside of a final and the answer was a resounding 'Yes'.

Over 3,500 supporters took part in the 24-hour poll with 55% stating that they believe the win at the Nou Camp in 2007 overshadowed every other away performance in Europe.

Liverpool's 0-0 draw against Juventus in 2005 was voted our second best away performance after the Reds deservedly clinched a place in the last four of the Champions League by heroically holding the Italians to a goalless draw on a night of nail-biting tension in Turin.
