Rafael Benitez says he has been pleased with the recent form of Pepe Reina and believes it is a testament to the hard work he has put in that he is now back to his best.
The Liverpool manager admitted his goalkeeper's confidence did suffer a little after an uncertain start to the season but feels he is now back at a similar high level to last season. "I think Pepe is playing better," claimed Benitez. "It was clear that he needed a little bit of luck and a bit of confidence and he has been working hard. We know Pepe is a very good goalkeeper and we must give him confidence."
